Skidoo modular 2 helmet, Anyone try one?

My father-in-law has one, no complaints.

As far as anyone that wants to rag on you for wearing a modular........they are just insecure so don't pay them any mind.

I was researching helmets for christmas...

Somewhere I read that skidoo modulars had issues in frontal impacts. They were failing, or something...

I ended up getting my dad a HJC CL-MAX with the electric shield. He loves it.

The one thing that a helmet rep told me is that this helmet has on occasion, had the release trigger mechanism break, so the modular portion doesn't open. She also said that HJC is aware of this issue, and if it happens then they just replace the helmet.

I didn't buy it on line, I bought it at a local dealer, so I would have a place to take it back if this occurs.

With this knowlege you can do your own research...

Unless you're a inactive trail rider in 30+ deg. conditions, stay away from modular. I know, since I just had to upgrade away from one to mx style. Modular made for miserable visibility...

Well it is a straight rolling ball so throwing a curve down the bowling lane is a little tricky. I bowled a 235 the other night with one.
