The instructions show you mount it be the taillight and the pictures show you mount it by the seat, which way did you guys do it?

If you bought the ski-doo gas tank, mount it by the seat with the v notch towards the seat. It tucks in nice and allows you to mount more things on the tail later.

up towards the seat...the picture of the one by the tailight is for the shorter tunnels such as an mxz

you can put it either behind the seat or back of the tunnel. Whichever you like better. Sometimes behind the seat when you throw your leg over to one side your foot could hit it. But ive had it mounted in both spots on my sleds and liked both.

ditto and it puts the ratchet clasp in a good spot that help you avoid kicking it loose when flipping from side to side.
