skid plate options and goggle bag

Depending on where you ride.
Lots of deep powder Polaris skid plate. Good coverage no snow build up minimum coverage area
Skins more protection to a arms and debris. Will gather snow more but can be cleaned off.

Had a skins plate on my yamaha and it liked to scoop up snow and pack it in. Didnt know if it was the same way for polaris. Sounds like the oem might be better option, I dont like taking extra snow with me, just want major stuff protected

I just went through this aswell. Some people report the skinz float plate acts like a wing in deep powder, catches too much snow. I went with the polaris plate for this reason. If i didnt run in alot of deep snow then i would have went with the skinz.

All Skid plates will collect some snow between them and the suspension openings.

I have a red skinz float plate in pretty good shape I wont be using this year if you were interested in it. Message me an offer. I drilled some holes in it under the suspension parts and helped it not collect snow there quite a bit.

The polaris plates offer alot less protection but will not hold as much snow buildup as the skinz . ... it's a decision of compromise you will have to make.

As for the defrost bag, I did not like it for these reasons:
-will only reasonably fit behind mid or tall windshields
-puts your key switch and mfd in the way of damage from rollovers
-moisture from melting snow under hood keeps it very moist inside instead of warm and dry as most would hope
Of course for trail riding most of these points are not a problem.

We have this dash defrost bag:http://www.gobigparts.com/HOLESHOT-DASH-BAG.html

I use this one on the exhaust side just inside the side panel. Love it, cheap and easy to install.

Thanks Randy for the options. I believe I already have one similar to last one that I bought from you and planning on installing it. Hoping to add a easy access windshield one as well and will keep those 2 options in mind.

bags

I personally have the above holeshot bag! I ride in deeeeeep whistler powder and have no problems with it....key is flexible and moves....no worries.....if yer still worried just put it in the bag.... the wps bag is easier to use than the stock poo bag imo and is a nice addition because it just runs hotter that than the holeshot. great combo for long cold days!
Gawd im ready to kick arse!
