Ski stance?

Polaris advertises the ski stance on the pro as being 39-40-or 41". On my pro the stance in the center position is 39" If I move the spacers to one side it will make the stance 38", moving them to the other side will make the stance 40". What am I missing?

Are you measuring center of ski to center of ski, within an inch of the spindle?

I was actually measuring from the center of each spindle, mine is 39" center to center. Of course the skis are mounted centered on the spindle, as long as there is a spacer on eachside. If I put the spacers on the outside the stance would narrow to 38". Both spacers on the inside would widen it to 40". So can my stance be accredited to production intolerances, or are the pros really 38-39 & 40" rather than 39-40 & 41" as Polaris has published?

Of course I still measured the skis themselves right in front of the spindle, they were 39" as well with the spindle placed between the two spacers.
