Ski stance

when i first got my D8 i had them on the widest setting, when i was doing steep sidehills the track would wash out on me all the time. Noticed a good difference when i went to the middle stance, but im thinkin narrow would be the best for my style of riding

Full narrow on the Assault, but as I haven't ridden it yet no idea what to expect.. Can't be any worse than the Dragon I'm coming off of I figure.
G.

Im running the narrowest setting with no sway bar and stock shocks. I really liked it for my type of riding

when I got my D7 the guy had them on the widest, I tried to move them but the bolt is seized to the little sleeve in there so I can't move them. However I find it plenty tippy and handles so well anyway, I just left it. Same with the sway bar, I can't imagine wanting this chassis any looser!

Are you running the stock shocks?

I am running the stock shocks, I do not do big drops or jumps so no issues with bottoming out. I strictly boondock and climb, I like the front end soft and spongy for ease of sidehilling on firm snow when needed. One thing about the pro is you just unbolt the sway bar and take it out, if you do not like it then just put it back in. It only takes about 5 minutes to take out.

That's the way i prefer. Some say that the limiter strap let out is a bad for trenching, but it depends on your riding i guess.

Forgive my ignorance, but how do you adjust the ski width - by moving the washers/bushings to one side or another where the ski bolts onto the...virtical thing?

I guess it's all personal preference. One person's nimble is another's unstable.

The only reason my skis are at 3.5 feet wide is that they won't adjust to 6 feet wide. I like stable.
