Ski Doo Summit 2008 problems

Hi folks! Im a guy from norway, so my english writing is not so good. But iam gone try anyway. When Im driving my ski doo in deep powder, the snowmobile stops. And when I stop for few seconds and start again, it works. And it goes like this all the time. Its like the snowmobile cant get air. I know many have this problem when they driving on one ski. But Im driving staight forward. I fought this snowmobile was built for this.. Anyone have the same problem??

Sounds like your air vents for your air box are plugging up with snow. Do a search for this as I have seen guys modifying the intake vents for this problem. Good luck.

What is the air temperature? If you are below -15 deg C. , try turning the red carb heater knob to the on position.

Ours have had problems in very cold air temps, especially in deep snow. Carb heaters will straiten the problem right up.

In the deep pow even going straight forward the air intake can clog. It is pretty easy to see when it is covered in snow and ice so if you brush it off and it goes then thats what it is and lots of guys are drilling holes in the airbox down by the seat and covering it with prefilter material. If it not blocked then you need to try the carb heat as already mentioned. And welcome to the forum!
