Important Ski-Doo announces DELAYS in 2023 Delivery...

But then your machine would have to have a battery right?
A lot of my sleds have had electric start with battery. Love my SHOT. Small speaker, like BOSE, that's rechargeable. Not that I need music in the mountains. Kinda cool to think about.

Dang it…I ordered a BCX with SHOT for riding at home. Haven’t heard from my dealer yet. I’m not interested in e-start. Wonder if DOO can just set it up without SHOT and send me the missing parts when available??

Pretty cool gauge. IMO I feel the 10.25 is a bit much for a mountain sled, I guess I will see after this season if it’s worth the extra dollars.

I actually liked the premium gauge on my 2021.

Technology keeps right on marching forward year after year.
We will all see what we all think of the new gauges just as soon as we get on 2023s..

The new gauge is nice but way too much money considering all the features it does not have. Plus, you need a small battery for it too.
I went with the standard gauge. Going to use the money I would have paid for the gauge and buy more warranty instead. If they can get it to work like Polaris's at some point, I will order one then when I upgrade.

I hear you. I ordered a Polaris and their new guage is sweet but just can't justify paying the extra when I plan to upgrade again for 2024. It would be nice if these guages could move from sled to sled without the need to go aftermarket. Some of us only ride 30-40 days before trading in. Think about the cost divided over the days you ride the sled and then decide if you are actually going to get more for it when you sell it. It would be more compelling if I rode with a bigger group of Poos that had the guage for the tracking purpose. Would even be better if all brands used the same hardware/software for tracking.

I consider myself a "Realist", but ordered my new Turbo Expert with the belief that Doo will in fact either have more features by the time the sled shows up, or offer upgrades via WiFi after delivery. Yes, it was a lot of money, but am confident it's worth the investment.

I did the same on my new F150
Took a year, but the Over-The-Air software updates and new features DID come, and it was well worth the initial investment to have them all down the road.

ive been installing custom stereos on each one of my sleds for the last 6 yrs
2015 t3 e start
2017 summit x e start
2018 summit x shot
2020 summit x turbo shot
2021 expert turbo shot
2022 expert turbo shot
i keep it simple small mtx amp ( cant remember the model) 6.5'' coaxial speaker in a custom fiberglass mold. i wrap the speaker in frog skin material.
a small on off switch as a remote turn on. i direct plug my phone into the amp via a lightning to rca cable.
my volume is the volume on my phone. I make it so it has automotive style connectors by the steering stem so taking the hood off is easy.

we have about 6 sleds out there with similar set ups. all buddy's have taken my design and made it their own. but have all done the wiring like mine.

I opted for the new gauge and am HOPING we will see some UNANNOUNCED SOFTWARE UPGRADES released by BRP that add functionality to it.;)
Hope all you want but if there is no radio hardware already incorporated, there will be no way to communicate without cell service. This is the beauty of the Polaris system. It has all the software, hardware and government approvals to send data over voice frequecies, without a radio licence. Garmin had special approval for years and now this technology is open to all manufacturers, which is a very good thing. BRP is playing catch up and getting these approvals takes a long time especially since they have to deal with several countries so their platform can be used everywhere.
