ski/carbide sugg. for 09 Switchback

Wondering if anyone can suggest approriate carbide length for a 600 switchback 136X1.25 no studs. This is my first sled longer than a 121 and always ran 6'' but was curious if I should go with 8 or 10'' due to the longer track.

Also wondering what one would recommend for better skis. I do mostly trail riding but occasional off trail and one "out west" trip a year. Is there a such thing is a wider ski that will also give increased trail performance over stock?

Give Scott a call at Bergstrom Skegs. His "bad and Uglys" have the 6in carbide moved back to accomadate the IQ's spindle. www.bergstromskegs.com Scott has been building this stuff for what seems like 100 years. He is used by OEM's on a consultant basis in re to skis and other front end issues. Nice ole guy too.
