Ski alignment trick?

Just thought I’d share my method for ski alignment. Feel free to tell me I’m not doing it right.

I don’t always have a straight edge laying around, so this is what I came up with.

I take a plumb bob, a piece of 4x6 and a speed square.

Wrap the string around the block at the front of the sled, across the back of the track and then secure it back at the front of the sled to the other side of the 4x6.

Adjust the string on each side so that it just touches the edge of the track at the front.

The pics tell the whole story I think, if not let me know.

I like it only I always start by using a tie strap from each hand grip to the rear bumper. Measure and adjust from the bar hook bolt to a rear bumper bolt on both sides and make exactly even to ensure you start with the bars straight.

Yeah, I start with straight bars and recheck them after I make adjustments. That’s a good idea with the straps.

It’s like you were reading my mind! I was just looking at aligning my skis after have my front end all apart. This is a great idea and so is strapping the bars[emoji1688]
