Single place sled deck in washington

@wendell

How long is the deck 8' or 10'? I remember seeing yours and being blow away at how simple and effective it was. Leaning towards a similar set up but I have 5.5' bed on my titan. I'm thinking I need a load bar that comes up off a hitch extender (similar to the full lotus quicky) to help balance the load. I also don't want to be using my tailgate as the pivot point so the load bar would function as that.

The wheels will really bend the bed? Bigger wheels or more wheels to distribute the weight?

i will post pics and stuff soon!!! pretty busy right now, good to hear from you Kord, hope you and your family are doing well.

this rig has been used since before i got my 09 m8 in december of o8 you can see my 07 on it . my m8 has over 3k miles on it . easy cheesy way to haul your sled i have about 125.00 into it ..but it should cost most of you with a wire feed welder about 100 $$ to build. suggest buy strong wheels to begin with. all the weight is on the center wheels...not chit on front or back or it won't work...it is as i call it....a teeter totter ramp. eventually if used enough you will wear divits in your truck bed...or you could put some wood down etc and run it over that. just giving you my findings. my tailgate has held up well but no guarantees there.

look closely at the bottom as i have done this as lightly as possible with mild steel...there is some engineering here to make it work..you all can do better than i have and heinscos aluminum is the bomb....but for 100 bucks and proven...here ya go.

If I remember correctly the original design on that napkin used 4 old boogie wheels and a section of angle iron as a stopper against the edge of the tailgate as to not trash your tailgate.
