simmons or slp

I have a set of Powder Pros on my M1000 the only complainat is I run the 6 inch carbide and the steering seems a bit stiff and to aggressive just wondering what others run? Thinking of going to as 4 inch carbide or flat 13 inch wear bar to lessen this your thoughts guys?

If you can wait until next fall Simmons will have a new ski out. I have a close friend who rode with the Simmons crew this week and was very impressed with the prototype.

IM GLAD TO HEAR SIMMONS HAS A NEW SKI COMING OUT. IM ANXIOUS TO SEE WHAT THEY HAVE TO OFFER. IMO POWDER PROS ARE THE BEST FOR NOW THOUGH. I LOVE HOW PREDICTABLE THEY ARE AND HOW WELL THE HANDLE IN THE POWDER. UNBEATABLE.

I've run simmons & C&A pros, both suck on the M if you spend time on 1 ski. (still have the C&A's, if I had a spare set of stockers I'd gladly trade them back!)

Do we really care that much that the sled turns a tiny bit tighter when it's sitting flat on hardpack?

I want a ski that allows me the best sidehill performance I can get, for this, PP's are the best that I've seen.

The wider, square skis tend to make the sled feel like an xp, harder to pull over, but a bit more stable upright.

The Powder Hounds just feel way too flexi and not solid to me. I looked at a set at our local shop and when I picked them up they just felt like they were gonna fall apart.

Stock HCR vs. Powder Pros

As the title says... Has anyone compared the two? Whats your thoughts. I dont like the HCR ski in powder. They do not respond very well and are very darty on the trail. Are the PP's that much of an improvement? thx

just ordered a set of powder pros from go big performance cant wait to get them and try them out, once i do i will post up how i like them compared to our simmons we had on our skidoo

Add me to the Simmons Fan Club please. Have been using the original design for years but for the last 2 years I have used the Big Beaver [Gen II ] style on my 2009 M1000 and love them in the soft deep powder. Can hold a side hill with the best of them plus they do keep the front end out of the snow compared to my ridding buddies with the stock Cat,Polaris or Ski Doo skies. When Spring riding on firmer snow I may take along my Simmons Gen I skies to use. I have only used the SLP + C+A`s on my Flat Land sleds so can not say if their respective powder skies work . That is my 2 cents worth of info.
