Simmons Gen II on RT 1000?

I buggared up a ski (stock) a little and am considering getting a new set. I was thinking of the Gen II's for the additional floatation but have recently had a good friend tell me I would not like them.

Does anyone have any feedback on the Gen II's?

How much should I be looking to pay for them? The local dealer can order them for $550 which seems a little high to me? What do you guys think?

I believe they sell for around 450.00 and I love mine, the floatation is awsome.

They are great, best skis ive run, got mine at local dealer for $399.

i have the gen I's my RT, they are a little skinny for the weight.

but the handling ROCKS

I tried the gen I on a 04 rev 800 didn't like them much.

Then a couple years ago I bought a set of gen II for my rt good floatation in bottom less powder but imo pretty much s@#ks everywhere else.

A guy I know had a set that fit my Nytro so I tried them again. I figured different sled maybe different results. Not my Rt and nytro are both rocking Mods skis best ski imho

Thanks for the input guys. I took a chance and ordered a pair from the factory. $440 so I can live with that.

I love mine. I have them mounted on my 1000 summit..superior flotation...great handling. I think I paid 440 bux last year.

I just put Gen II's on my sled last week. I need to do some more set up as far as ski pressure. You sure don't need as much ski pressure with them as you do with the stock skis. We didn't get into much powder when I tried them. Hope to get that chance this weekend. I really like them so far.
