Simmons Gen I vs Gen II

Looking at buying Simmons for stock Nytro, anybody riden both Gen I and Gen II? Opinions??

I know I know... just Turbo it and don't worry about the skis. Taking care of first things (cheaper) first. Thanks

Stock skis are better that Gen I. Need to max out the front shocks for better trail riding and boondocking. Gen I IMO are not very good in the powder. Stock skis float pretty well. If they dont, adjust your transfer.
I have no experience with GenII.

Good luck

I bought gen I s which I use for spring conditions and swap back to the stockers for the mid-winter dry pow. The Simmons don't float as well but do a much better job tracking where you want to go, and IMO they don't waste the steering bushings as fast as the aggresive stockers. Never tried the Gen IIs.

If your the type of rider who takes a 10 mile trail to get to off trail and you primarily ride off trail, the Gen II's are the ticket. I've riden 2 different Nytro's with different ski's, both seemed darty/tippy to me. Gen II's would be the first addition if I ran that sled. If your a trail rider, Gen I would be fine.

I have always ran simmons skis but these Gen II skis are even better, especially for the four strokes with the heavy front ends.

I have a TApex and love my Gen II skis.

Have not tried the gen 1 but love the gen2 great flotation fantastic on the trails and they turn tight like no other far better than stock...Here in Vernon they laughed at me .....until they tried it now guess whats on the demo sled???:D
