Hey guys, I'm looking for a few photos if anyone has any? Of both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 if possible?

The GEN II skis use all the same components as the GEN I. Carbides are in same location but GEN II are 10 inches wide and slightly shorter. Additional width is added out side the standard GEN I carbide location

I need opinions on these. I had the gen 2 on my edge and liked them. I put them on my dragon and dont like them they are darty and hard to turn. Should I just go back to the gen 1 skis for my dragon

I hate darty skis on the trail.

Seems to me you might need to play with setup, and reduce the ski pressure a bit ... or increase it.

The ski did not change, the setup did. Maybe they are worth keeping but the sled needs tweeked to get it to handle correctly.

This is were a set of race scales would come in handy.

Thanks SnoKing that was exactly what I was looking for!

The other thing I'd check, is make sure you aren't toed in a little on the skis. That will make it dart around like crazy. You actually want to be toed out just a hair to handle the best.

As soon as the gen II came out, I asked myself "Self, would I like those ski's if I cut off the outer wide bit so I could still side hill? " I do like my gen I's but wouldn't mind a bit more flotation but without widening the stance.

Maybe you know?

I don't know about trimming one edge.

Many years ago on the old leaf spring ski's we added an additional mount inboard to push the ski's out.

I would be more inclined to take the mount off and make an offset plate that would bolt onto the ski. Then mount the saddle to the plate moving the skis inboard. That way your skis are still stock if you don't like them for side hilling.

Pretty much what skidoo did with the offset mountain skis, that's what's on my rt there is less then a 1/2" outside the spindle and like 4" inside the spindle seems you could come up with a way to mount the simmons offset like that, a custom saddle would be easy to fab up with just basic tools.
