Simmons Gen 2 on RX-1?

Anybody uses these skis? What do you think? Are they managable in any other condition that bottomless pow, like spring riding?

I've got a set of Slp's for mine, but was thinking I might need more flotation due to the fact that the RX-1 is a pig up front...But I would still like to ride both the trails to get to the deep stuff, and the spring conditions.

I love mine on my RX1Turbo.

I run them on my m7 and have great success. The "only" negative might be that they seem to skate just a little more in a turn on hardpack.

They are great on my TRX-1. Floatation is way better than the Gen I but they are tough to turn on setup snow.

Well they have a double feature most dont know about  If you break down and cant get the sled out, you can always un-bolt the skis and snowshoe out to safty.

Gen II's

I put them on last season: in Spring like conditions, they worked very well IMO - for slush/roads/etc. During the season, the only issue I have is turning at higher speeds, I have my weight transfer set really well, but I just can't get them to grab; so I just have to slow down a little. Heck, they are for deep snow so it's no problem for that small offset.
