As someone is complaining about all the problems with Silber, I tought ill post this video from today from when it do work great! Hit dET about 3-4times on a 20min ride, and I guessing it's because of bad gas. Will try with some race fuel in it soon, then see what happens.

enjoy!

You have 3 posts on the same issue. Come on you are running low elevation with 4-5 # boost with no race fuel. Maybe the Title of your threads should be "Silber Kit owner cant follow directions" Sorry to come down on you man but I think this issue is your own fault. Get some race fuel, adjust your green and yellow light's like you where told (and what is written in the directions) and try it.

This wasnt a post to get sugestions on what was wrong, just to show people that complain that these kits work to. Im still discussing my dET problem in the other thread.

And yes, i have race fuel on the way, and yes, I do try out the sugestions you all are coming with.

wow

wow you dont ha ve any snow either! that looked like a risky trip! congrats on making it out of there with your a arms still straight looks like it runs good

U r running a low comp head right? U can also get a timing module from boondocker, that might help u run pump gas.

My head is supposed to be 11.1 compression. Yeah ive been thinking about that, what does it cost?

I dunno, I was jus trying to think of something that would help u out. It sounds like ur pump gas is better than ours, so u could probably get away with it. U should really try to find away to get some a gas though.

I would look into that torco accelerator if it is cheaper than getting ahold of race or av. There are quite a few people that run it in turbo RZR's etc. they will pack it along when they go on trips that they have no access to race fuel.

I know you don't want this thread to be a thread of suggestions, but since it is already, you may want to pull your top end and put some forged pistons in there. Wouldn't want a piston skirt to break off from damage done from Det. I would guess your pistons have already seen damage and have been weakened, plus I am not a fan of the stock pistons especially in a boosted sled.

One of the tests you should do before you order a turbo is to take out a $100 bill and light it on fire with a match. If you can't just sit there and watch it burn then don't buy a turbo. Enuf said...... these are not cheap things to keep running and you need to know that early in the game. Try to cheap out and it will bite you in the arz.

Don't use torco. Use av or race otherwise wasting your money.

The DET sensors do a great job protecting the motor and I would certainly trust them as ONE tuning tool. They do not make up for a lack of experience tuning motors though. They are just another tool at your disposal.

While you don’t want to be hitting det. The sensors are so sensitive on the pros that you can hit it thousands of times on this motor w/o damage.

Keep in mind that these results are not on pump/ethanol fuel. I know that Skibreeze speaks from experience on his 2011. Its has had many a det light go off during initial tuning and turbo development. He is also anal about checking pistons frequently after owning a turbo dragon.

The results are also confirmed by my own testing.
