First of all anyone that is talking about the oil rollover problems of the viper, stop right now. I rode a sidewinder on a Yamaha demo day. They gave me and 3 other friends our own brand new Sidewinders for the entire day, ride it like we owned it they said. The weather was cloudy and snowy with 2 feet of fresh on top of the hill with a crappy trail ride up, 2 foot whoops the whole way. It was the exactly worst case senerio for riding a big heavy 4 stroke. The sleds ran flawless, we flipped them, rolled them and endoed them several times. When we got stuck we rolled them over like a 2stroke to get them out, not a drop of oil ever came out period. We rode in the trees and these sleds are not front end heavy or divey like i thought. Hill climbing is amazing and the power and torque is amazing for a factory sled. These sleds are a very big contender for me and I ride a lightweight 2013 pro with a turbo. Do you feel the extra weight, yes but it is not a huge difference like you think especially when you can dump 40-50 pounds off really fast, can, seat, battery, and airbox. The only thing we noticed is the intake temps were up pretty high and that is because of the restrictive airbox and lack of cold air, nothing to worry about as people are already making better airboxes. The sled did have the typical yammie rattle in the clutches but there is a fix for it as well. This sled simply works, I will most likely be on one next year and mine will have a 174 track on it if they dont come out with one from the factory oh and the rear shock is junk but that is not hard to fix with a zbros coilover. I predict we will see more of these out on the hills again once word gets out about these rockets but we will see I guess.
