Show those bikes!

Here is the POS, some pics anyway, I mean is it weird to rebuild carbs on the kitchen table, I think not, but anyway gonna get her running this week and then take the frame to get hardtailed next week

1400 Intruder. Bought it in pretty rough shape, got it running, rebuilt the forks, removed the sissy bar and uncorked it - that bike had balls! It was a torque monster, I should have kept it.

Fun bike. I came up with some maps for that engine with a PC III on the dyno, for that engine platform to be used in Mini-Sprints. Those motors will rock with the right mapping

Not pictured is a '72 Norton Commando, '49 Indian Chief and a '63 Honda 305 Dream currnetly being rebuilt in my shop
It's late, I'm closing down the shop and heading home...... later

----- Gimpster ----

You got any maps for just general street riding? I wouldn't mind giving them a try. Or if you've got a line on somebody that might.

Where in Roch are ya? I'd love to see that thing over a beer when it's done.

No pics but mine is a 86 Fazer, or it will be mine after I take the MSF course and we get the bug worked out of it.

Akrapovic slip-on.

As far as I know the bike still has the stock filter, I bought it used, previous owner never said anything about an aftermarket filter.

This is a better picture, but I have gotten rid of the factory pipe and have an LOR slip-on on it now. I think I will do the +2 rear sprocket and chain next.

I searched that old hard drive last night. I have the stock power commander maps there and the mini-sprint maps. I'll see what my dyno man has and keep you in the loop. Have you downloaded any maps from Power Commander site ?
thanks

I downloaded a couple but they didn't seem much different than what it has now. Couldn't find a map for my exact setup so I'm running a map setup for a Graves slip-on.

I really need to just spend a whole day with it to tweak the settings here and there.

Thanks Gimpster, I appreciate it. :beer;:beer;

Should be seeing or feeling some result, even if it is a coolant temp increase when you step up the timing curve. Makes me wonder the condition of the air filter

I haven't messed with timing curves at all, I think you need an add-on box to do that actually?

The maps I've tried have just been for changing the fuel mapping.

1981 yamaha xj bobber project...should have it wrapped up this weekend for the most part (other than paint and a few other finishing touches). Still waiting on my new dual chrome exhaust. After it's all said and done I'll be throwing some white walls on her.
