Show off your Proaction sled lightweight mods

I guess there are still some guys around here running Yammy smokers. Need some ideas for lightweight mods.
Have you done any lightweight mods to your sleds?
Please post pics if you have any.

I picked up a set of the outdoor supply arms this summer. I think they are going to work nice. My only complaint is that the holes were about a 1/16" too small so I had to open them up to fit and the rod ends were not right for my yamaha. I had to go to the local race car shop and buy the right sized ends which was a hassle, and they don't make a rod end that was exactly what I needed (standard male end and metric hole). Still a little miffed about that one. No I didn't call outdoor supply and tell them how I felt.

You will like them. I got my set last year.

I took a metric all thread bolt, and found stainless steel tubing that was the same OD as the ID of the heim. Then drilled out the center of the tubing to make to slide onto the bolt.

And the replacement tubes for those arms a cheap, if you happen to bend one. PM me you E-Mail addy and I can send you pics, if you want.

Sorry for the hyjack:)

Email addy on it's way.

I think they are going to be a good arm, and the price was right on them. When I ordered them I picked up a spare shaft just to have in case I bend one.

Start by ditching the stock seat. Boss seats the only way to go. Diamond S hoods work great. BR tech Thrashers are good for the money but you have to modify them around the bottom. They are so flimsey they let the pow push between the belly pan and hood and get all over your clutches so you have to reinfoce the bottoms of the hood with some aluminum strap. I run Fabcraft trailing arms. MPI has a lot of good quality lightweight stuff for these sleds. I have just about everything they sell on my sled. The cheap way to lighten the rear skid is to replace it with AC or Poo. You can find those skids cheaper than buying lightweight stuff for the stock skid. Hope this helps.:)
