Should Polaris Warranty Broken Bumper Tabs?

Most recalls start at a dealer where tells a customer "We've never seen that before."
Not trying to be a smartass, but there has never been a recall I'm aware for "I ran in to a tree with my vehicle and it broke parts easier than I feel it should." Would only come up on sleds...no one with a car, motorcycle, atv, etc, would even ask.

Not sayin they can't improve the design...not saying you can't ask....just sayin don't be disappointed if it doesn't work.

Trust me, I would feel so much better about this situation if the sled had hit a tree. I would at least have a good excuse. When I see a perfectly straight bumper without a scratch on it, and a broken bumper tab, this tells the story. $155 to have my dealer weld it. Sure it hit something. Whatever it hit, it obviously wasn't too hard of a hit.

My bumper has a pretty good dent in it, offset from center too and it didn't break the tabs. I didn't think it was enough of a hit to have bent the bumper but it did... My 14 Pro had a bent bumper too from a tree kiss, all on one side that time and no other damage. You guys should see how sad the Doo bumper situation is. THAT is some flimsy chit.

$155 to weld a tab or two back on seems pretty steep, even for aluminum.

I like d8grandaddys custom fix. Might need insurance money to fix it the next time though!

:light:

So, we shouldn't keep bringing it to everybody's attention, so they will finally fix a ****ty design? Mine broke with no visible damage to the bumper with a slight sideways hit.
Its been a ****ty design for 7 years now. Doesnt seem like they are getting the hint
