Should I get this sled?

Go for it! nice sled...you'll love the torque ...935 HELL YA!!....same old story though..those who love them, love them a lot.... and the haters heard from a buddys ,buddy they are junk and to stay away.Go look at it ,ride and make up your own mind .It could be the best rep sled in the world and still be a lemon!

that sled is EXTREMELY RARE fyi.

this is only the 2nd "proven" one i have seen...i know of someone who says he has one but never showed pics, lol.

anyways...the factory destroyed them all from what i was told too, and a few leaked out and were built with left over stock that wasnt destroyed.

they are trick looking, very rare, have tons of power...but he is MY concern. where the heck would you get more pistons? cylinder work? if you burned the ECU who will flash a new one? no one will have parts for you IMO.

i would send Monster715 a PM he works at a Polaris manuf and may give you some info on it as well.

its funny, the ONLY 2 935 sleds ive ever seen were in MT, lol.

My first season experience with my 900 thus far... I did spend a couple days walking through everything on mine and it seems to have paid off. I love it, very rideable with oodles and oodles of addicting torque...

As far as trading... the crf450's resell value isn't the greatest either. I'd probably do it if it were me...

I'm with Guido on this one... Rare doesn't begin to describe this sled.... it was the sled that was to join the 700 Dragon in 07 and never arrived due to a few production issues. If you are willing to roll the dice and take the chance that if something happens with the motor you're out of luck, then you'll have the rarest sled on the planet, otherwise you might want to look for something more common. There is no reason a 900 can't be made to run reliably, but typically speaking there are some times that wrenching is required.

I would be concerned. All of us who own 9's know of all the potential issues. You could have potential issues with a non-production sled with limited parts availability. Might be better off with a regular 9.

It's would be cool to say you have it and when it was running you would be the... but unless you really like to tinker...

If it were me, I would do it.. worse case, you have motor problems somewhere down the line, but could always put another regular 900 into it. I am not a fan of the 900's, but I would own this one just for nothing else but the cool factor of having such a rare sled plus it would rip your arms off riding it.. haha :D

Nick (yz400ex) has a point...

if it were me, and i had the 935...if i had an issue with the motor. i would convert the top end to an 06 and be one with it. and it will still use ALL the electrical parts, and chassis parts (except tunnel of coarse) and you would be fine...

PLUS...you can take ALOT of pics of the motor, and chassis for me for my next build ;))
so i say EFF it...DO IT!!!!

guido, don't these only have two injectors, not four (like the 06's)? I think it also goes down to the 58 psi fuel pumps.

Either way, what guido said I agree with...only 05 jugs and 06 (866) pistons.

dang, you are correct, i forgot all about that...thank you for reminding me...

so...ill change my statement a little now, lol.

i would just change the top end to 05 900 cylinders, 05 ECU

and THEN send me pics of the install so i can see it, lol.
