Should I buy a holdover 2012 Pro or Snowcheck a 2013

Time to buy a new sled... It's down to a Pro vs. the new ETEC. Leaning pretty hard to the Pro due to its technical riding advantages.

Just wondering people's thoughts on 12 vs 13. I'd very much like the 4 year warranty, which is totally not worth buying due to its price (but free w/ snow check, right?). But I could live with a two year warranty as well if the deal is good enough. I do not need a new sled, but i want one and have the money to pull the trigger. In the mean time i'll slum on it on my 09 XP :face-icon-small-ton

I know we don't know what the 13 has for improvements over the 2012, but even if it is the SAME, the 4 year warranty is inticing, and i'm in no rush.

Thanks for the thoughts...

I'd wait and see what the improvements will be for 2013. If they offer
The 4 year warranty with snowchecked I'd go with that and if you have the money.

Not sure you can really find a hold over '12... I'm guessing they sold out pretty well. And if you do I don't know if you would really save all that much. If it were me, wait and see what they come out with for '13 obviously, but I'd snowcheck a '13. :face-icon-small-coo

I know of a few holdover 2012. Think i can score one for about $12k out the door for a 163". But yes, i agree they will probably sell out pretty quickly.

If there's some really big changes for next year, and I mean mind blowing......I think I would be inclined to hold off on a 13' as with anything wether it be a sled, or any vehicle as there will always be a gremlin or two.....just my .02 cents.

What he said, and if you chose not to buy the '13 by then, I'm sure you could save even more on a '12 :face-icon-small-coo

The 4 year ESC is $450 at snowcheck.

i was told it came with snow check as an incentive for pre-ordering, but you've got to pay even more? Hmm. That might change things for me.

I don't expect HUGE changes for next year. Just nice evolutionary changes. Belt drive, BNG's, perhaps a little more power?

Shouldnt be too long before we see some more from 2013, and then decide what you do. If nothing new, buy a 2012, if something new and grest improvements, go with the 13.

Well you said you are in no rush and you have the $. So why not wait and see.
The latest rumors here are 20lbs lighter and a belt drive. But just that, rumors.

yep, that's the direction i was going, but thought i'd see if i got some fresh perspective on SW. Never owned a Poo before, so if anything else i just wanted to see if you guys were even nice :) so far so good!

i would probably wait as well and see whats new.But if you do buy a 12 you will not be dissappointed i love mine not to worried about what comes out next. dont think the changes will be to crazy definitly dont think any motor changes will be made either.

Yeah, this year it was either 4 year warranty or $600 of accessories. Some dealers would give you a "nothing" option with some off the purchase price.

Mrquick, years ago you and seeyacop? helped me with my m7 to m8 twin pipe big bore. I have a 2011 and 2012 pro 155". I will share all the info I can with you. I have all the clutching set-ups MDS, MTX, and team tied.
Also have a 09xp, I really like the pro "lite" handling over the xp.
Thanks the m8 worked perfect!

wait and see about the new 13 see if the rumors are true about the weight savings etc. i snowchecked my 12 for 10500.00 out the door and bought another aftermarket 5 yr warranty for 1200.00 / way better than the factory supposedly dealer recommended.

any ways good luck only have 125 miles on mine and i love it

save your money and buy a clean used 2011 with some warranty left. The differences from 2011 to 2012 arent noticeable. Then wait another year and see how the 2013s do, and buy one.
