A acs47x Free Member Oct 30, 2008 #3 i would do a microfluid head over a compact any day, the compact still jumps on fast moving shots, fluid is super smooth and the beefy-er legs are better for stability imo

phatty Well-known member Premium Member Oct 31, 2008 #8 one other thing to note, try to stay away from steel... freezes in the cold and can be a big pain in the butt!!! they make carbon fiber fluidheads now... thats the route i would go!!!
