Those are the numbers, interesting to see how the Doo and Cat have lost some of thier claimed horsepower.............I don't belive those hp #'s for a second, 'cuz fredw already told us Doo has a 20 hp advantage on the Poo and I know he wouldn't mislead us or , God forbid, lie to us.
Sent from my iPhone when I should be sledding.
They may have not lost any at all. All a dyno run tells us is the differance in the motors and that's only if they were all done, same day, same intake temps, same motor temps, same humidity, same air density...you get the idea. If you open a door in the shop while doing a dyno run the numbers will change. This is exactly why some manufactures dont post hp#'s anymore. Those are the numbers, interesting to see how the Doo and Cat have lost some of thier claimed horsepower.............
I realize you were being sarcastic {fredw} ,this 20hp advantage has been beat to death already. A little clutching and gearing on the Poo will change those ET`s.PolarisJim, I was being sarcastic. #'s look fine.

well here is a flat lander/mountain riders opinion thanks for the post. well out of the box polaris has it together but if you let 10 different shops have their way with the sleds you would have many differnt times and speed. its just like the mountains every body has their own clutching set up that they like . i am a die hard polaris guy but my friend that loves his cats would make these results a hole lot different. but im glad they do this for at least a base line and its good for after market companies to they know that cat and yamaha needs some clutching work to do if racing is your thing. it would be nice to see 60',660'and 1/4 mile times and speed. to see if the guy that wants to burn up the twisty trails or the lake racer of wich sled would better suit him. so thanks for the post.
I can honestly say that 100% of the info you post on here is useless, but you won't find me posting negative comments on your threads.
If the info doesn't concern you, don't read it, simple as that.
There's several threads on here with H.P. comments/comparisons of the "underpowered 800.
The point of my thread is the real world results of the Polaris 800 being tied for quickest out-of-the-box E.T. and a real close 2nd after dialed in.
Ditto for the 600
Personally, I don't care about the M.P.H. on top end, but I do care about the acceleration (E.T.)
Mph doesn't win a drag race. Et does. The loser almost always has a higher mph than the winner in a drag race.
