Shoei Lids

Are the Shoei Metal Mulisha 2 V-MT lids worth the price? I'm thinking about this lid and a pair of 08/09 509 Goggles when they come out for next season to go with the Klim Klimate/HMK Pro Boa Focus suit I picked up. I just have a cheaper full face now. I have a Fox Tracer that I use for ATV'ing but want to keep that for summer and get another MX style for winter fun.

I think the Shoei lids are worth the price. I used to only wear them but don't care all the much for the new design around the visor area. So I have switched to the HJC carbon MX helmet. It wasn't much cheaper, maybe $75-100 less if that at the most.

You won't find a better helmet then a Shoei, I still believe that.

The Shoei is a very nice helmet. You are paying more because of the materials they use in the outer shell. Also, all the graphics are applied by hand. The visor is of wind tunnel design to get better airflow. I've taken these down the highway at 75mph on the supermoto with no wind lift.

Thanks for the replies.. I used to be a walmart special suit and cheap lid person but I decided to get a all Klim setup except for boots, so I thought I better get a helmet now. I must say you get what you pay for when it comes to outerwear. No more freezing in it unless I'm moving. Some guy on here said he gets a kick out of people decked out in all expensive Klim gear and a cheap *** lid and I don't want to be one of those. lol. :o:D
