Shockwave-Reverse angle Ramps-SOOOOON

W

Wyoming T/A

ACCOUNT CLOSED
ShockWave adjustible reverse angle ramps available in the next few Days-:D-these ramps will fit the existing adjustible helix:beer;:beer;
we should have them in 4 to 6 sleds by the 23rd of January:)

I know you like the 09 helix's for the XP's but I still can't figure out why, unless you ride trails or light snow in meadows???? I like the shockwave idea but just not sure why you would not want to go progressive instead or the opposite?

i know a dealer who has installed 09 set up in over 30 2008 sleds--he must think it works also--slide over to wyoming and i'll show you some snow:eek:

Not sure that is a good explanation but I am guessing the dealer did that because they assume doo's 2009 clutching was improved. Seems we should all assume that because it must be an improvement right if it was changed from 2008?

I think the opposite on doo's clutching. The clutching in 2009 is better on the trail than a 2008 but in the steep and deep I just don't see how the reverse is better. I especially notice this here in WA where we get a lot of snow but it is often heavier. Might work for you in WY in super light snow due to less load but not seeing it here.

To each his own though.

we have a 08 stock with 08 clutching and a 08 stock with 09 clutching--the 09 clutching is better everywhere comparing apples to apples:confused:

I guess it depends what kind of terrain you ride. Stock clutching on the 08 and 09 is awful in my opinion There is so much room for improvement. Clearly doo set it up for the EPA and riding on a road.

With just ramps and more weight on my 08, I gained 5MPH in track speed up the same climb in deep snow. I am changing a few other things and should see an even better improvement as I will be running Winter Brew's full kit now which I know flat out works here.

My buddy's with the 09's have already seen belts failing, super hot clutch temps and very slow track speeds and its not the alignment or the deflection. The reverse just does not work here with our heavier snow, especially with climbing.

From the looks of all your pics on this forum it does not look like you do much climbing. If that is the case where you mostly boondock meadows and ride the flats than the reverse might be the ticket for you, even at higher elevations like you ride.

Have you compared a well set up 08 with a progressive helix to a well set up 09 with the reverse helix? Also are you constantly changing the angles on the shockwave or why wouldn't you just run the stock 09 reverse helix if it is so great???

i have always found it difficult to stop on the hill and get pictures-:confused:-i'll try to take more climbing pictures to please you-:o-come on out and we'll go ride:beer; as far as the hilix , the 43/47 is just a littl steep for our set up so the adjutible will give us infinate options --we tried one of the great 44/40 set ups and it sucked so we'll do our own and then if it dont work we can blame ourselves --our 08 with 09 clutching kicks arss over the other 08 with different clutching [close to stock]:eek:
