shockwave on mcx 180 nytro??

want to try the shockwave on my 180 nytro and am wondering what degree most guys have had the best performance with. thinking about empty 8bu weights pink orange pink primary spring and 14.5 rollers in the primary.what is everybody else using for the secondary spring with this helix? inputs welcome also just to let you know i am running a 2.5 x.162 camo extreme track.

If you haven't bought it yet, then I wouldn't spend the money. I tried it with an AC green spring. I tried it at at a bunch of different settings and could never get it set up properly. I was always trying to chase engine RPMS and you shouldn't be adjusting the secondary to do this. Also, the ramps are a lot narrower than the Yamaha helix so grooves were being worn in the secondary.

After speaking with the guys Prince George Yamaha I went back to the stock 39 deg helix and a white Yamaha secondary spring. Right now, I am happy with this set-up. I am running loaded 8BU weights, 14.5mm rollers, and a B-W-B spring in the primary. I also have a 162" CE track.

Also try polishing the helex ramps to a shine. For good shifting and back shifting and less wear on the buttons.

I have used a shockwave for over 1000 miles my buttons still looks new. I use epi purple with 1 1/2 turns out . Yes it is better to add or take away weight from the primary to achieve your engine rpm but when the snow is deep you just turn in the shockwave witch does two things make it easier for the engine and puts more side force on the belt and stop it from slipping and burning it off in the deep snow.combining a shockwave with a dalton weights that you can adjust with out taking them out of the clutch works great <TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD vAlign=top>Boosted applications:

I run a shockwave on my Nytro and so far I'm happy with it. I also run the 60g (base weight) supertips in my primary so I can adjust both ends as necessary. I have the stock spring in the primary and a A/C red/white in the secondary. I still have some adjusting to do on it as I was running about 500 RPM shy the last time I was out.

Do you know what the P/N is for that EPI purple spring?
