Shock revalve

Weres the best place to get your shocks re-valved. And what did you think of the suspension after, is it worth is or should you just get a aftermarket skid and be done with it

Thanks

I just sent mine off to www.gasshockrepair.com His name is Andy and he came recommended by SLP and Frostbite on here to me. All I know is I was going to Holz and this guy is about half there price. His turnaround is like 2 days too! Jury is still out on the ride, but from what I have heard and read it is a huge improvement over Arctic Cat's crappy valving specs.

I had my rears redone by Holz with a dual rate spring kit on the front shock. The kit price then was $188.00, may have gone up by now. Ride is night and day different. Be completely honest when you give them your weight, skill level, and riding style so they can be set up correctly for you and your abilities. I told them I am 260lb and race motocross in the summer so I pound my sled hard down the trail and do some moderate jumping. Now I can hit the moguls as hard as I want and it is always smooth.

Bob Tomb, Teton performance (307) 413-4807 I ride with one arm "only have a right" until I met Bob, the boys left me behind in the bumps! At this point I make them feel like girls!

I want to have the re-valve done to my 08 M8 too. I was getting bucked pretty hard last year on the trails and have been reading that the re-valve will fix this issue.

On my skid I have a front and rear shock. Front is a coil over Fox non-adjustable, rear is Fox Float adjustable.

Question is, do I send both shocks in for re-valve or just the rear float shock?

And if I have gas shock repair re-valve the shocks will Holz sell just the dual spring stack for the front one?

DOes holz make a kit? or did they do it for you on the rear? was it for the float setup?

It was for my 2005 m7 so it was on the older m-series rear suspension. They did offer it as a kit then for the rear. I don't see it listed anymore, but if you call them and talk to them I would think they still have the specs on file and could do it. Whether they would still give you a kit price on it, I don't know. Another place that does shock revalves is Performance Fix Racing (PFR) here in Bozeman, MT. I know he did quite a few sets for the AC hillclimb team last year, including the float shocks. The number is 406-587-7223, Ask for JT.
