Shock question

Hello have a 2011 standard rmk 155. Which is my wifes sled. And I am getting a 15 summit x. From my understanding the stock shock on the 11 rmk is 17.5" and the summit shock is 16.5" id like to throw the summit shocks on the rmk. Anyone ever try using a shorter shock on the 11 rmks?

I understand the summit shocks are not the best but they will be laying around I just bought float 3's for my new sled and the way I see it is anything is better than those ryde fx shocks they have 3500 miles on them I think its time for a change.

We tried them. They are valved and sprung to soft for the Pro's suspension design.

With a stock Pro rear suspension, and the BRP shocks up front. It will feel like you have no IFS shocks at all. On the trail you will get a body pounding from the rear suspension and have no control up front. But you may like it, give it a try.

Find a set of pro rmk take offs and have them revalved for her weight/riding style.

(Mine will be up for sale in fall most likely, going to raptors).

I realize this doesn't really help your situation much but as TRS pointed out, what you want to try won't work out very well.

Ive looked around people want quite a bit for those walker evans shocks and then after I rebuild and revalve I mise well just buy her some float 3 shocks it would be very close to the same price.

What are you gonna ask for your shocks?

I havent even thought about it yet, still just trying to get a motor back in it lol.

Slp carries a set of shocks with dual rate springs and remote res which do not look that bad for the price, just a thought.
