Shipping question for Canadians

Have any of you had issues with getting stuff from the US being shipped US postal service taking a looong time? have a package out there for 2 1/2 weeks and wondering if it is lost or if they sometimes take this long. Most have been 7-10 days. USPS is no help in tracking, all they see is it was shipped here in Wa on the 20th of Nov. Anyone?

Been waiting on documentation from a dealer in CO....they sent out info. on November 25th and I'm still waiting for delivery to Calgary.
Tis the season I guess.

It can get delayed... I've had stuff take up to 3.5 weeks when I used to do alot of buying and selling on ebay. Given the time of year, I would not sweat too much yet, give it another week before you file for a lost shipment.

Not uncommon for stuff to get stuck at the border for 2 weeks when things are backed up as they would be this time of year.

It's not the season, it is just the sloooowwwwww sevice there, and then, getting through our friends at customs. Advice to anyone- use FEDEX whenever you can, and ask the shipper to e-mail or give the tracking number when it is sent. You can track it online and see where it is. Do NOT use UPS, as it sucks and we don't have UPS other then in a major city close to the border.
Make sure it is by Fedex air as well, if in a hurry, you pay a bit, but you get it a LOT faster.Had some parts sent Fedex ground a few weeks back, took a long time. Air is the way to go.

Yikes!!! I've been waiting for a week for a fuel filter. It's coming from Illinois to b.c, probably gonna take a freaking month usps!!!! Clown show.

Always use fed-ex if you can they are fast and don't have all the hidden charges like ups or usps. JMT

Anytime I can use USPS to get things from South of the Border I do!

I will never use UPS even if my life depended on it....they can charge up to 55% of the items value in brokerage/handing/duty fees.

FedEx is okay but I have had some outrageous charges with them as well.

99% of the time, USPS is quick and their tracking system works well. Recently I have seen it not log tracking info. 99% of the time, its CanadaCustoms who delays the shipments. I have had items like decals be in customs for a week. Yet an item like a mysterious engine part with wires hanging out of it be in and out in 24 hours.

From time of shipping depending where in the US...East to West, about 10 buisness days. West to West, about 5-7 buisness days. Never any excesive charges either. From time to time something takes 15 days.

Cross border USPS is the way to go, BUT, have had them take up to 4 weeks. Depends how slow custom's wants to be. But I have also had USPS beat UPS from farther away!!!! UPS are crooks!!!!

FedEx charges just like UPS, only with FedEx, you get a bill in the mail 6 months later, UPS wants their money before delivery

Older post I know, but I have to add.
I bought some reeds out of US. They sent it UPS when I told them not to. Took 6 weeks and the brokerage fees were outragous. Almost 100.00 bucks!!! so be warned.

Yup, UPS charges on value, NOT size It's BS.
