shipping a sled ? idaho to michigan

i have never had a sled shipped before. i would like to get a sled shipped from idaho falls to michigan. the seller said he would help as much as possible. . how do i go about contacting a company to get it done.? what should it cost?

The sled needs to be crated to ship for a reasonable cost. The shipper and reciever also need to have access to a loading dock or forklift to avoid extra charges. Basically what you are looking to do is set up a "LTL" shippment. I would check out freightcenter.com. You can get free estimates, and likely can ship the sled crated for $350-$500. I just had a sled shipped from Washington state to Wisconsin for under $500.
