Sherco SER25O as snowbike

I am having a hard time getting a 4 stroke this season so how do you think the sherco SER25O 2stroke would be? On the east coast, sea level to 1500 ft. Have a camso kit from last year's KTM.

Thanks for your input.

Would not worry about it will work great. I run 2 2 strokes in the west....

All I can tell you from the west.... we have pretty deep snow. I had to do carb heat and engine jacket (might not be needed for the east) when the snow was deep to keep the carb from freezing. Intake wise I used a pod cage with a dry filter connected directly to the carb... in the east you might just get away with a dry filter over the cage.. suspension wise you are going to have to go wayyyy stiffer...also a stat for sure... I put an egt on mine for tuning just made life easier... but not really needed...

ive got a 450 with a 520 big bore and half the time its not enough (maybe its just me and my junk maxtrack II). so I just dont see how a 2 stroke 250 would be any fun where I ride when a 520 big bore struggles. Castle Mountain, fernie, southern BC/AB area, mostly ride with sleds though. Castle is one of the steepest/longest (most black diamond ratio runs) mountains in western canada.

For me sleds are never fun... just too slow through the steep and deep... this bike is ultra light.. great on downhills and steep pitches... shines with a base or a lighter rider... can't knock it till you ride one... that is set up right...

To me the only downside is either getting a lectron or smartcarb... or make sure your jetting is on point... so I would take some jets out the first ride ...
