Is there good riding up sheep creek by palisades? One of the places i haven't been around here and i see trailers parked there a lot.

I know a few guys that ride there and they seem to like it. I'm always on my way to alpine when driving by. Guess I should stop there sometime and check it out for myself. That damn rain last sunday messed up all the snow below 8000ft, might have to try Togowtee this weekend to find powder. Eric
Our group was in there a couple of Saturdays ago. Came across an area where there had been 2 recent avalanches within 100 yards. One of the guys went a head a little bit more and said it only got worse the further you went. We turned around went back out, loaded up, and went riding in Grey's River area in Alpine. None of us was ready to die by avalanche that day.
Good Terrain
Its very steep terrain so I recommend going on a day that you can see and when avi danger is lower. There are tons of avalanche traps in Sheep Creek. Tricky area to ride but if you like the really Steep and Deep, adventure type terrain it's a fun area. A lot more consequences compared to an area like Alpine IMO.
