I have an 09 800 with a Boondocker pump gas turbo with inter cooler and 174 2.5 track I bought at the start of them season. Hasn't ran right yet. Sled was supposedly perfectly setup when I bought it. Paid more for it than a new Pro (not necessary to tell me I am an idiot for that I already know). It will only pull 6800 rpm's in deep snow. Trying to decide whether to pull it off, or add a o2 sensor and boost gauge and try to make it work. Want to boost at around 5psi. Riding the range at 9000/12000 ft. I am in it so deep, and it's not worth half what I paid for it, I have no choice but to ride it for a couple of years. Any help would be a appreciated.

Can u give more info? Have u been through the clutches to see Wut u have in there? U can try to drop down to a lighter clutch weight. The more information that u can provide the better the chances of somebody being able to help u out.

Yes we need more info what color is the spring in the clutch ,what weights are in the clutch , what does it have for a helix in it it should say on the back , are the ext valves clean, what spark plugs are in it,fuel?

Running 68g weights, new primary spring from Boondocker, but I am not sure of the color. Dealer went through the primary. Not sure of helix, but will check. 91 octane fuel. New bottom and top of engine. Not sure about ex valves, but will check. Runs great on the trail but sucks in the snow.

Describe what you mean it runs bad in the deep. Is it steady 6800? Wnat does it sound like? I have a few ideas. You don't happen to have any video?

When you get in the deep snow it won't turn RPM's. I am putting a mechanical boost guage before next ride. Acts like possibly not getting boost or clutched way to heavy. Won't pull over 7000 rpm's. Runs great on the trail or on a hard packed hill. Dealer has been through primary, replaced tps, reprogrammed the engine module to the 08 programming. It also has a 3 degree key from Boondocker. There was no setup changes when the key was installed, should have there been?

Do you have egts or air fuel gauge? One problem that is often over looked is venting. Next turbo sled I will pick venting, if any , very carefully. I had similar problems and have seen it on a another turbo sled also. The problem comes if your intake is under the hood. When you get in deep snow, snow hits pipe and turbo making steam. Steam is a killer and makes it run like its pig rich. Not sure if this is the symptoms you are having just and idea. On my dragon I had to get rid of my mesh side vents, buy gill vents, and frogsskins on all my openings. Until I did that I could not get it to run good in deep snow. My brother also had the same problem on his skidoo and we could not resolve his problem even with frogskins. He ended up having to go to cold air intake.

You need to be running the superseded 09 map. What fuel controller are you running? Which version of the ebc? You should not have to run the timing key with premium and only 5 lbs boost. My sled is noticeably slower on the bottom end with the key installed.
