I am thinking about bringing my F1100 (non turbo) from Wisconsin to ride in the Big Horns. What would I have to do to prepare it to run in the mountains. Thanks in advance for any replies.

You are going to have to reclutch it.

On trails you will be fine, off trail it will be a disaster with any deeper snow.

Off trail (anybodys) out there and you will be wearing the King Stucky Crown everyday! Clutchin call Racinstation.

re- clutch
and the obvious answer, call the guys at evolution and have them install a big chute kit on it. There is a reason why the dealers out west have a huge over stock of 1100 non turbo's and willing to part with them at insanely cheap prices.
Just my opinion.

Your'e going to have to re-clutch the sled, more importantly you are going to have to get in pretty good shape to dead lift that thing up out of the snow all day. Lucky it's a poor snow year!

I'm usually the guy to tell folks to bring what you got... but man, just rent a sled.

That sled is going to be PAINFUL out here right now, there's retardid snow everywhere, stupid deep... and you'll have a 128 x 1.25, the people riding with you are going to kill you so they don't have to lift that thing & it won't take much to hide your body with all the new snow right now.

I love riding a short track out here, but that track with that motor is about as painful as you could possibly ask for. No traction, no power, and an extra 100+ lbs added in just for fun.

You WILL be miserable.

OR... hire someone with an excavator to follow you around & dig you out.

Ditch pickle, the only preparing you need to do as far as planning on heading out to the mountains with that sled is preparing to wait until spring when the snow has firmly set up. Like was said earlier, your riding group will be a little frustrated with you after the first day lol.
