Set up tips for those running Burandt Fox Float 3 Evol Shocks

Prosledder have you ridden yet? Anybody else?

I'm also curious if anybody is running these with a 3" Track? I know with my stock Walker Evans, I had to completely back of the adjuster nut to just minimum.

Technically yes, but for only for 4 miles until this happened. Somehow the shock is fine....but to answer your question not enough seat time to tell. I did re do all my settings with the sled off the ground and it made a big difference. I went with the settings Burandt recommends, but I went with a little more in the main chamber (I think 65 or 70lbs) on the ski shocks to get my sag close to an 1".

That really bites, hope you're ok. If the bulkhead is hit, I'd guess it would be considered a totaled, with the look of the tunnel. Best of luck!

I've settled on running 55 in the main with Evol R's, just the right amount of ski pressure, sag, agility, but Carl's valving, and a zero Pro and Evol R in the rear.

running these shocks.
pressures just above recommended in the manuals from fox.
i’m about 240lbs ready to ride.
have a tunnel bag on tunnel approx 10 lbs

today i had really bad trenching. snow was soft, deep about 24” with a crust layer about 18” down.

i got stuck so many times due to trenching, seemed like sled did not want to get on top of the snow. haven’t really experienced this before

where should i go with my settings?
thanks

I went to an x3. It trenched a bit more but wheelied more than anything. I shortened the limit strap, 50 psi fts 140/180rts. Made a big difference back to more normal pro feeling

I would start with dropping the front track shock pressure.

I've run the Carl's Float Evol R's since they came out, but front shock is Fox Zero Pro so I can't help with pressure there. The skid is very sensitive, as Black Z said, reduce front skid shock preload, first. If it's still an issue, add some rear preload, 5 lbs at a time. Assuming the rear isn't too harsh now - the Pro skid will never be a plush ride to begin with, but it's strengths are adequate weight transfer without the trench, once it's set. Not running Burandt's valving, I like 128/140 in the rear track shock, 220lbs geared up. Play with it, check with the B. man himself, too. He's got some ching from the deal...

anyone have any good base line numbers for evol r 3's (front/rear) on an ALT impact 36 front end with sway bar connected.

210 lbs without gear (230-240 with), 155 x 2.5 extreme, stock skid.
had a good set up with stock front end, but just based on feel in the shop, it needs some new settings.
