Service engine codes

My RMK 8 is showing a service 20, anyone have any ideas as to what the hell this means, or where i can research to find out what it means. I really dont wanna go pay someone to tell me it means some bull**** that i can take care of on my own. Thanks

I don't remember exactly how, but in your owners manual it tells you about it and how to shut it off. Its just telling you that you have 20hrs on the sled and it may need some maintainence.

Ya it does sounds like a reminder for service by checking bolts that might have gotten loose tighten,lube her up with criso oil, no, use grease for her so she wont be dry.. to change that use your function botton go to where it say service got like 20, 50,etc.. thru 250 hours.
Go there and hold it down not up down for like 5 seconds and the service hours will blink and change it there. If thats what your refering to, when yu first start it up do your indictor thingie blinks sayin service then thats what it is.

Like was said above...It is just a default service reminder. It can be re-set, shut off or lengthened by following the proceedure in the manual.

I had the same reaction when mine first did this. Fortunately had a friend that showed me how to re-set it. Its probably not a bad idea to leave it on as a gentle reminder to do the required maintenance/service at the right time.....just a thought
