Seller Beware......

Use to be when someone wanted to buy something from me here I would ship before receiving payment. Guess the times have changed and too many people have gotten savvy to that practice.

Tearing apart an 05 doo for parts and more than one person has agreed to buy something, said they will send the money even providing an address for shipping. Then after waiting a week for money to arrive, having them back out. Maybe they were hoping that the item had already been shipped?


Now I get to go back and look up all the messages of people who I turned down that wanted the same part and see if they still need it.

Use to be a close knit group of people on SW looking to help each other out......now I'm feeling not so much.


Use to be buyer beware...now we can add sellers to that list

Haven't sold anything on here yet but have purchased several things from people on SW, great sellers and I make sure I am just as good of a buyer. Hate to hear of people screwin others around, just seems stupid to me. Doesn't anyone have a conscience anymore?????

i wish that snowest would have a buyer and seller feedback page so that you could look them up and give feedback on them. they have that on another forum i belong to and it works great.

Agreed.. I have been saying this for the last couple of years.. multiple forums I am on have them.. they work great.. especailly for me.. cause i buy and sell so much stuff on the net.. really wouldnt be that hard to setup... so......................................................

I hear ya...

I'm trying to sell a track I purchased this fall. Yeah the track is "missing about a dozen lugs", but there is about another 20 more that are chewed and the drive lugs inside is chewed on about 25 or so that the seller never mentioned. I got what I payed for, I'm being honest about it's condition. It's only right.

On the other side of the coin, at my work we try as much as possible to get payment up front for special ordered parts. Once in a while it slips through, but we have been around long enough to have gotten burned and learned to be leary. I've been selling a few 650 engine parts lately, and I don't ship unless I have payment.

haha for sure! It's not like I'm asking alot for parts and they still always want some movement on price or free shipping.


Regarding a ratings system. The whole reason I waited on these particular items was because they were new to the forum with very few posts. I know its not a perfect system but in the end it worked, kinda....

I sent a front spring to some guy in Bismark last spring, said he needed it asap or some BS, never sent the $15 plus $5 to ship, I PMed him a few times always got some BS about how his girlfriend forgot to send the money, after a month or so I just wrote it of as a bad deal, and a lesson to get pay pal

yep, I have sold alot of stuff on here, and have had good luck, I never ship w/o getting payment unless it is someone who I know on here. I have had people tell me they want something and and the check is in the mail. I have never got the check or any response from that guy.
