i love my M8 but i hate to ride it on the trail's.

its my only real problem with the sled.

but these new pro rmk's really look like there going to be fun!

only real draw back for me is that my M8 has 4600km's on it and i have not had one problem! and i drive it like i stole it i just do a lot of preventative maintenance. i keep everything clean and torqued right. and i know polaris' engine have had a lot of problem's but i think since 2011 they have their 800's figured out.

let me hear your positive's and negative's about my idea.

thanks for your help in advance!

If you're dumping your M-8 for a Pro based on an assumption of better trail handling....you'll be disappointed. I love my Pro but it is not a trail sled, specifically because it's set up to perform in deep powder.

The M-8s are great deep snow sleds. The Pro is better. They both lack trail manners.

If the bulk of your riding is on trails and you want a Poo product then get a Rush or a Switchback.

Not sure how many '12 800s have many miles on them..with such a poor season so far..

It took the 11's a season or so to start really showing engine issues...some had them in the first ~3-400 miles... but seeing more n more posts of 11s down at the 12-1500 mark.

May still be a small percentage...but still, its enough to prove their not by any means 'bullet proof', yet.

Doo's still seem to work very well on the trails...especially sh|tty whooped out trails... My Pro still struggles there. I've heard shocks/revalving can make a big difference however.
But to date, my 05 Rev had the best trail manners in the gnarliest of trail conditions.. The Nytro and Pro I've owned just couldn't match the speed and stability in these crappy conditions.

The Fourth Wolf is right. I have two Pro's and they suck for trail riding but excel in mountain riding as they are designed for. I wouldn't take a Pro RMK on a trail riding trip any more than would I take a Rush to the mountains.:musicnote::musicnote::musicnote::face-icon-small-ton
