Securing trailer ramp, lost my pin today

I have a Triton drive on/off aluminum trailer with the rear ramp that slides under the trailer. Well I just got back from riding and after parking the trailer, I noticed the ramp was sticking out 6 inches. Somehow the pin worked itself out and is gone. Luckily the ramp didn't come all the way out. So now I need to come up with something better than the factory designed pin. Anyone come up with something more secure? The ramp has a hole and the trailer has a hole, you line them up and slide what is basically a hitch pin through both holes.

had the same pin & problem, after i had to build a new ramp { lost original } i welded a 7/8 pipe to trailer & made a 3/4 solid pin through it with a small hole drilled for the baling wire so the pin cant bounce out. overkill yes, but havent had to build a ramp for about 6 or 8 years now
