Securing a deck in the back of my pick-up?

Exactly..... Don't want this to happen.... Better to be safe then SOOOOORRRRYYY!

I'm thinking that the deck is tied down. If you look at that pic, you can't see the base that the deck is supposed to be welded to. IMHO, the welds must have let go when he tried to load it, not because of the way it was tied into the box.
 
What's the thoughts on putting an 8 ft. deck into a 99 F-250 SuperCab, not SuperDuty. It's rated to carry the load but any thoughts?


What I want to avoid is exactly what happened in photo above, that would be a bad ending to a good day.
 
couple deck tiedown pics....when i had it just tied to the box tiedowns, it seemed to have a little extra body roll in the haggard stuff. adding the tiedowns to the outside corners down to the camper bars seemed to help with stability.
