secondary not squeezing belt

so just to clarify..this will tighten the secondary so it will grip the belt...I don't have a problem setting the belt height it just wont grip the belt and the belt can be spun by hand.

From your description, what you are seeing is perfectly normal. With the belt at the top and secondary as far closed as the deflection adjuster will allow, there will never be any side presure on the belt...UNTIL the primary clutch grabs it and pulls on it. :beer;

yep... My 04 was the same.. On another note I just finished putting in 1.68g of weight on each arm, Wow!! did that ever wake it up:D.. Amazing how such a small amount of weight makes such a huge difference... It literally lifts the skis higher on acceleration... can't wait to mountain test her...
 
BELTS are fine

Its all set up fellers, IMHO.

* 450 miles on my original belt.

* Been WFO after my breakin routine. 4 ft of powder today and was hill bang racing PINNED for full pulls. Belt looks perfect.

* Clutch Heat is mild.

* Added pin weight.

* Re-geared.

* Cut Secondary Cog and set correct deflection. Havent had a dirty clutch since.:face-icon-small-ton

all of this was done @ Motor Tec in Golder, as Doo dealer...thanks Ryan

sled worked awesome...used an beat up belt (pre work) for 2 days in DEEEEP Revy snow...Zero belt issues...problems solved...thanks again.

if You want a good Belt Call AAEN Performance get there 1.5 inch top cog belt made to Olavs specs part # BEL12587 best belt you are going to get out there and be able to adjust your deflection
