Secondary Clutch

So what is the secret to getting those four torx bolts out of the clutch. My first team clutch so kind of lost before I get started.

Use a torx bit and hit it with a hammer to shock the bolts or if you have an impact hammer screwdriver that works well

The screws hold the helix in place. Just remove the screws and the helix will come out. The helix doesn't have any pressure behind it. After removing the screws, if the helix feels like its stuck when trying to pull it out, just back out the sheave adjustment screw on the front of the clutch, and it will slide right out.

I tried my electric impact and nothing. Tried it with a 1/4 in ratchet and broke the torx. Does a guy need to heat it up??? It is a 2013 so it has never been apart, I know my cats were always over loaded with Loc-tite not sure if this is the case or not.

I stopped by my local sled wrencher one day and he was taking one apart. He used a hand impact driver (the kind you twist by hand then smack with a hammer). He actually did the initial hit while twisting it like he was tightening the bolt, then reversed direction and popped it again with the hammer and it came loose. I held the clutch steady over a block of wood on the bench. I have always just tried to turn the bolts in a "removal" direction, but the initial hit to tighten it may help loosen the bond. Something to try.
