Seasonal Allergies/Hay fever

Im suffering bad this year. Anyone else feeling the blues. This sucks. Im all stuffed up, sneezing and my eyes are all swelled up. Went to the doctor, they gave me a prescription for Veramyst nasal spray and some eydrops, cost me almost $200 just for the medicine. Insurance saved me almost fifty too. Well anyone else have any good medicine that works? Im dyin' here!

Get a shot

Go back to the doctor and get a steroid shot. Got one for the first time this year. No medicine or anything for three months.

Kenalog is the name of the shot you want to get. walk in clinic will have it. no side effects, you will be running though grass fields

I think I am gonna try the kenalog shot this year. I see an allergist and get injections twice a week....sick of it....so hard to get there twice a week and tired of paying 8 bucks a shot until I reach my deductible. I haven't been to my allergist for a bit and I am doing ok so far this year...Im amazed....Im usually dying right now.

X3 ^^^ Been on many 'allergy pills' the last few years and it still sucked. Got a Kenalog shot for the first time two weeks ago and felt like a human within TWO days. Haven't had any symptoms whatsoever since then and haven't taken any pills. Open sinus cavity, no sneezing, no watery eyes, no itchy throat. Best $30 I have spent in years.

This Kenalog shot sounds good. I may get back in and see what they say. I hate spraying stuff up my nose and taking pills every day. No time for that its construction season.

I'll be asking my doc about the Kenalog shot when I go in on the 27th. Sounds like it just might help. I didn't have allergies until I moved to AK and it's getting worse every year. I can't hardly stand it anymore. :(

Yah Im all plugged up with summer. Been allergic to it for 5 yrs now and getting worse as I get older. Causes me to ignore the fam and comcentrate to much on winter mods.............

I have had summer allergies the last 35 years of my life. The Dr now has me on two daily doses of Allegra and I always carry Benadryl and an Epi-pen.

I'm a candidate for the allergy shots once a week but I am waiting on bloodwork results. I'm allergic to pretty much anything that has roots and grows outside. When the cottonwoods start letting the cotton go I'm miserable.

Allergy meds is what my family all takes. I'm lucky (knock on wood) that mine isn't so bad in my hometown. My parents and brother get it bad though. Moving down in the southern part of MN, and swimming in lake water is what kills me. Good luck to you guys!
