Any one else have REALLY bad hay feaver?

welll said snow fox. and crap! i thought i had it kinda crappy...sounds like you have your hands full with your diet!

All I know is that I am the luckiest man in the world to have my wife. She takes very good care of me, I don't know what I would do without her. My diet is mainly meat, milk, potatoes and other vegetables and fruit. We bought a breadkmaker and we make bread from rice and potato flours. We then have to use egg replacer for certain things as well. Now that I am used to it, it isn't that big of a deal. Basically it is all cooking from scratch, the way everyone used to have to cook. I do miss certain things, but oh well that's life.

There are more and more people with food allergies, so getting access to different foods is getting easier. Like I mentioned, medicines and processed foods are what causes food allergies in my opinion(no doubt in my mind)..........so just watch your diet, and if you really don't need to take the medicine don't. It seems that whenever you visit the doctor now, all they do is hand you a prescription and kick you out the door.

I personally think that the human body can't keep up with modern technology. Humans have had the same diet for the most part since the beginning of time. Now in the last hundred years everything has changed so much (especially with diets and medicines). IMO that can't be good.

When I was growing up they did not have these shots, we are lucky now. I am a dumb Town kid now. Same way eyes swell shut, Hives every you could imag. Every Thing swelled up ( everything). As I got older its not so bad. I feel for those that got it bad and have to put up hay.

For me it is mainly alfalfa hay. Dust, straw, peas&oats, cottonwood will sometimes give me the sniffles and an occasional sneeze, but alfalfa hay makes be blow up like Rosie O'donnell. I used to move pipes in the hay all summer, but once it was cut, the stuff was like poison. And you are right, I hate needles, but compared to living with this crap, I'll take a shot every day if need be.

Yea allergies do suck big time. Especially when you work with what you are allergic to. Grain dust is the worst...

Last trip in Vegas i discovered I was allergic to strippers also. Not the fat ones in MT mind you. Not sure what it was. The water or whiskey maybe. Or the fact she was sitting on my lap. Made certain parts of my body swell up...

haha.

^^^^ha ha ha they got good ones there! ones around here suck lol....i dont really wanna name some places but really windies is just screamin cheap hookers! lol Skogen if ya havn't been to that place DONT GO lol! and dont put a 5 DOWN....one of my friends did that and got the hell beat outa him lol.:beer;

I feel for ya

I've been haying for 8 years and I had the same symptoyms as ragincajun:mad:. I will never go back to benadryl:p!!! The shot is a miracle:D!!!

im in this club to, i got pretty bad allergies/hayfever also. im allergic to all the hay, dust, and just about anything with fur, but yet i live with cats, dogs and have horses plus horses gotta eat so i gotta haul the hay, sounds smart huh. i get the itchy eyes and sneezes and all that jazz but the thing i hate the most is my nose is plugged up pretty much 24-7. ive tried just about all the pills and inhalers and crap they make with no results so i just quit takin them and deal with it. however i've never had the "shot" you guys are talkin about, prolly cuz ive never heard about it, but it sounds like it is some good stuff.

you should ask you Dr. it works great! its a starroid(sp?) but the only downside is that it destroys the tissue at the injection site after a couple of months and you will end up with a weird lookin "dent" in your a$$.....if i have to keep getin these shots every year, purdy soon i wont have an a$$ lol!:D:beer; but there are other shots...that one works best for me so thats why i get it

This may sound kind of wierd and off the subject, but I used to get sinus headaches everyday, mainly in the afternoon. I would get them so bad that sometimes I'd get sick if I couldn't get rid of the headache. On days when I went out in the boat, I typically could only handle a few hours before having to come in with terrible headaches. I went through about ten years of the nonsense. I used claritin D, flownase, and nasonex. They worked great, but I got so dried up, I could barely crap!

I finally got to the point where doctors would give me the meds I need, but something had to be done so I didn't have to live off these meds the rest of my life. To make a long story short, I used to drink a can of pop a day, from diet to regular, and then to caffine free. I had realized it was pop that was giving me headaches. I stopped drinking pop and fruit drinks with nutrisweet, and the headaches are gone. No headaches in quite some time. I can now finally enjoy a full day of boating in the sun without having to come in to bury my head into the bed pillow. I drink more water now and nonsweetened tea.

Another vote for the shot, Kenalog I think it is. I've tried just about every pill and nasal spray ever made with little to no success. Even went so far as to have immunotherapy shots twice a week in each arm without any positive results. The only drawback I can think of to the shot is that after a few years of use they have to up the dose because your body gets used to it.

I have it BAD. I am also DEATHLY allergic to avacados and bee stings. If I even touch an avacado, I go into anaphylactic shock and stop breathing in less than a minute. I'm also allergic to most tropical fruit. My hay fever has been HORRIBLE since I moved to Washington. I didn't have it near as bad when I lived in Wyoming. That's probably the ONLY thing I miss about Wyoming. What is that shot that you guys are getting?
