I've made the offer, now other people need to offer their suggestions. I think that NW Colorado would be a great place to hit this upcoming season. I rode there lots last season and the snow was epic. I didn't have to deal with the crowds that were on RE either. If peeps show some interest I will move ahead in planning for next season.

Congrats on the pooper PJ Last week I phoned Steamboat Lake Outfitters to check out their setup and get some general info. I'd be willing to help out with setting up the lodging deal, see about a group rate and getting something reserved. They have a large enough lodge/restaraunt/bar to handle our group. There are also some camping spots and a few other lodging choices nearby. The area allows for sledding anywhere you need to go, so peeps wouldn't have to trailer anywhere. I think we would have a blast up there.

Do we want to have it up there? If so, we should probably try to lock the place in soon. It's a big enough place to handle our group (50 +or-?), but not large enough that we should wait to long. They have bed space for 89 people, in 43 beds/sofa beds, in 12 motel rooms and 7 cabins. I think we could reserve the whole place and comfortably house 50 or 60 folks without cramming every bed. Cost breaks down to about $50 per person if we take the whole place, and we could probably negotiate that down some. If there's a general affirmative concensus, then I can see what kind of deal we can get and see what it would take to reserve the place. If we can negotiate a good rate it would probably be a good idea to get it in writing and put down a deposit, then start collecting full payment from people as the season progresses to reserve there room of choice. Kind of a gamble, but I think plenty will be interested. OR NOT. lol

Great idea there Bushy. I was waiting to hear a little more from people before I made any calls. Maybe we should start a thread where peeps can make serious inquiries and comments. I can get Big D to put a sticky on it so it'll stay on top. I'll do some thinking and start one tomorrow.

Great Idea Paul.... I think the biggest opstical is for everyone to commit and pay enough in advance.... We should get the dates set, then see what SLO can do... I am game anytime..... Wonder if Pres day weekend is already filling up? That seems like a good weekend, as many peeps have extended weekend.

Definitely welcome.... We have had peeps from all over.... Most of my group is from ID and OR, actually, I am the only Coloradoan

Definitely good times with good peeps....
