what's next for Avery? talking sh!t about some other player's kids? the guy crossed the line by talking about someone not even involved with the game. just because she dates an opposing teams player, doesnt make her a target. i dont understand how he got in his head either. hmmmm.....lets see here: multi game suspension, letting your team down by not being able to play and losing the respect from many teamates, coaches, competitors, fans, etc. doesnt sound like he accomplished much except for f**king himself over.
Avery is a cancer, but to suspend him because he said someone is getting his "sloppy seconds" is WEAK. It's trash talk, bulletin board material, that's it. Also he is no more a cancer than T.O, Buress, Iverson, or any of the other media idiots. Avery showed that he is a bum when he harrassed the crap out of Brodeur.

I hate to even waste my time talking about that asshat, but that type of trash talk should be left on the ice. The league never saved him from anything, he would have run away like the little ***** he is if Phanuef went after him, just like he always does. True what he said wasn't that bad, but if somebody said that about your wife or girlfriend, what would your reaction be? Hopefully he ends up playing in the Russian super league, the Russian mob could maybe teach him some respect.

yup trash talk happens on the ice all the time.I played alot of competetive hockey and there was lots of trash talk but it was between two players on the ice in the corner not in front of millions of people.I wonder if the guys who thought it was funny would be saying the same thing if somebody said comments like that on national t.v. about there daughter or wife.If that comment was made on the ice in a scrum directlly to phaneuf it would have been more effective in getting Dion off his game but a doubt a guy like Avery has the kahunas to say it to Dions face.It was a classless disrespectfull comment for national t.v.
