Sealing exhaust

How are you guys using the hi-temp exhuast gasket for the belly pan? I got a gasket for a M1000 and it's opening is not any smaller than what I have. I have a 09 M8 if that matters?

I purchased the factory gasket for my '09 M8 and it appears this will not completely seal the opening. I have yet to install it for that reason.

I had previously sealed up my intake from the engine bay. So, am less concerned about breathing in exhaust.

That's what I ran into, none of the rivet holes line up also. Not that it's that big of deal (the rivets) but I'm wondering if it'll help at all?

The best seal comes in a tube!

I used some Black RV seal maker and ran it all around where I could see light and it worked pretty well. It was a mess, so rubber gloves are nice if you have some.

The gasket I got seems to have a hole as big as the one in the bellypan.
