Sea level + cold = high idle?

I recently moved from Whistler to Squamish, from about 2200 ft to 0 ft, and now, on a -10 C day, started up my 05 Summit 800. It was idling at about 3000 rpm, even after warm up and a couple laps around the yard. I just put in brand new carb boots, everything is tight from the air box to the engine. It used to idle at about 1900. Could it be just the change in elevation and cold dry air, or do I start to look for crank leaks?
Thanks

sounds lean, hit the choke and see if the idle goes down. adjust the air screws richer for idle then you might have to re-jet. This is assuming you didnt hurt anything working on your carb boots.

Yep, probably have to richen up the air screws about 1/4 turn and the idle will come back down to where it belongs.

Are install 20 pilot jets, But when it warms up it probably wont be there any more.
