Schribers ride report anyone?

Had 20plus @ 10pm on 11/25........ BUT MOTHER FREAKIN NATURE decided that the freezing level needed to rise a 1,000ft?. Only about 8inches this morning & dwindling fast

Yeah that was a bummer, luckily Anderson Watson was okay. Heavy, but better than not riding.

So I understand all that. I have to drive nearly 3 hours to get there and don't want to waste the fuel to just find out for myself. And I also know that the website isn't always accurate, that's why I asked.

From Northwest Glacier Cruisers website & facebook page.

"We have received several messages regarding Mount Baker NRA the USFS website says it is open (providing there is 24 inches at the trailhead) read the small print. Meaning 24 inches at the bridge (2400 feet). If this storm brings as much as they are saying, we may riding up there soon.
Please honor the 24 inch requirement. We do not want to be known for tearing up National Forest Land.
In the meantime you can ride Glacier Creek and Anderson Watson (no 24 inch requirement) although we hear there is about 12 inches there with no base. It's still a bit early.
We will be there soon. Think Snow!
Thank you!
See you on the Mountain!
Tina"

All there saying is just wait until reports come in that it's open. Your not going to miss anything being a day late. No reason to make the trip just to hope there is enough snow.
As soon as people start riding up there, I guarantee there will be posts on the conditions. The snow bridge is entirely a different area then the bridge that everyone refers to as needing 2ft of snow or more. Let's just not chance it without confirmation. Glacier Cruisers should be the first to notify that it's open.

Thank you all for clarifying, that's all I was wanting to know. I have lived in Washington with the navy long enough to know about the 24 inch rules and I am not one that is willing to just drive up there with out knowing if it is open. I only know a few places to ride and I for one do not want to place them in jeopardy by jumping the gun just to ride.

Its not even close. 6" on the bridge Sunday right before the Hawks got their asses handed to them...We drove to the bathroom.
Someone did build a rather nice snowman at the bathrooms complete with rather large genitals. Classy. Anyone want to own up to it?:face-icon-small-hap
The only thing i got at the meadow was a inflated sense of self esteem from all the beer I drank.

anyone ride Glacier Cr? I took a drive up there yesterday, hit snow at about 2800' noticed sled tracks at about 3000'...there was about 8-10" @ 3250'.

Looks like the riding areas according to google earth are around 5k? I've never ridden Glacier Cr, just wondering how it is?
